Deputy General Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Deputy General Counsel, Commercial, Transactions, and Governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial, transactional, and governance functions of the legal department
• Upskill and develop internal legal talent while managing outside counsel and resources
• Implement upgraded processes and tools to support internal stakeholders and external clients

Required Qualifications

• Ten-plus years of in-house legal experience in fast-paced environments
• Strong focus on commercial contracts, preferably with SaaS experience
• Experience managing legal aspects of M&A transactions
• Familiarity with private and public governance structures
• Dedication to management and mentorship of junior attorneys and legal professionals
