If you’re passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special needs, you’ll love the opportunity as a Special Education Preschool Teacher at Esther Ashkenas Early Learning Center, located at 450 W 56th Street, New York. As part of the AHRC New York City family, you’ll join one of the largest providers of services dedicated to individuals with developmental disabilities. In this full-time position, running Monday to Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., you will assess the individual needs and capabilities of your students, creating tailored lesson plans for a self-contained classroom. Your expertise in developmental strategies, particularly applied behavioral analysis and TEACCH principles, will guide the creation of effective IEP goals and support the significant growth of each child. You’ll also engage actively in preparing daily schedules aligned with New York State educational standards, while continuously updating IEPs and fostering a positive classroom environment.
