Position Description:


We are looking for a Designer to join our Water Team to improve infrastructure in our Buford/Atlanta office. The candidate should have an associate’s degree in technology, civil engineering technology, engineering technology or a related field and have at least five years of related experience. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment. 


Typical responsibilities include:
  • Create, manage and own Revit project BIM models developing quality content as required
  • Perform multi-discipline milestone coordination utilizing BIM techniques and clash detection tools
  • Lead discipline specific efforts in planning and preparing drawings derived from BIM models
  • Integrate BIM models with analysis tools
  • Generate project-specific custom parametric Revit families and/or BIM templates and content, as needed
  • Support and successfully apply company, client, and project drafting standards, procedures, and best practices
  • Demonstrate ability to apply formulas, principles, and practices to complete required models and drawings
  • Provide a range of production work including problem analysis, layout, modeling, detailing, drafting, and coordination with other disciplines on project of substantial variety and complexity
  • Demonstrate knowledge of assigned and related disciplines
  • Coordinate BIM activities with other designers, drafters, and design disciplines
  • Successfully communicate and correspond with internal project personnel and external clients
  • Execute design changes and project drawing revisions throughout all project phases
  • Maintain BIM and CAD proficiency and mastery of current software platforms.
  • Assess problems and recommend solutions to technical and design related issues
  • Interpret, analyze, organize new design projects and/or revisions to existing projects of varying scales and complexity
  • Apply the use of technology differentiators (3D modeling, advanced rendering, etc.) in marketing and proposal development
  • Perform QA/QC on individual and overall project level production to reflect highest quality being provided
  • Demonstrate willingness to stay abreast of BIM related technologies and engineering concepts to provide flexible project support
  • Recognize and work to meet project schedules and budgets
  • Maintain a collaborative and dynamic work environment with related staff in multiple disciplines to assure project success
  • Support and mentor fellow users
  • Assist Project Managers as needed
  • Maintain excellent client relations
  • Maintain a safe working environment


Education:
  • Associate’s’ Degree in Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering Technology or a related field


Skills/Experience:
  • 5 years of related experience
