Job Description

The Risk and Identity Solutions group at Visa focuses on delivering fraud detection and prevention solutions that enable every good transaction to be approved, every bad transaction to be declined, all with a seamless customer experience. Central to this strategy is the use of AI/ML models that are trained to detect fraud in the card payment ecosystem. Visa has pioneered these capabilities for over 25 years and is continuing to evolve its capabilities to address the rapidly changing needs from today’s digital payment ecosystem. 

Some job duties and projects could include:

  • Analyze and synthetize data into content that can be used to define commercialization strategies. Assist in strategy definition through research and critical thinking
  • Work with regional teams on product readiness, including defining pricing and commercialization approach, going through pre-deployment gates, securing necessary approvals, and ensuring internal teams are ready and supportive
  • Work with marketing teams to develop collateral that communicates the value of the solutions to clients and helps them get started
  • Work with potential partners/clients to evaluate their capabilities, define use cases, commercial constructs and contribute to investment decisions
  • Conduct data analysis to support pilots such as gathering and synthesizing data to measure success or failure of the pilots
  • Create aesthetic, user friendly reporting capabilities that generate insights on Data Model's performance (e.g., fraud rate reduction, rule execution results, etc.)
  • Gather intel on the 'Voice of the Client' through interviews/surveys and other client engagement opportunities
  • Collect competitive intelligence and prepare analysis on opportunities
  • Identify strategic opportunities to enhance Data Models

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Students pursuing an MBA Degree with a graduation date in 2026 or later; 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications that demonstrate professional judgment.

  • Strong consultative skills to establish relationships across a global organization
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, similar to how consultants and analysts use data to make decisions
  • Data modeling or data science experience is a plus
  • The ability to take on challenges and address problems head-on
  • Strong ability to collaborate
  • Highly driven, resourceful and results-oriented
  • Good team player and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and navigate through ambiguity

Additional Information

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated hourly range for a new hire into this position is $46.00/hr - $46.00/hr which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Work Authorization: Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position. Future sponsorship will not be considered.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department

This is a hybrid position: Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
