What You’ll Do
The Program Manager will oversee various conferences and IME programs as they are funded. The Program Manager is expected to manage all parts of the programs and liaise between internal teams, educational and/or academic partners, and faculty. Program Managers should ensure program and program materials are aligned with all applicable guidelines.
 
A Day in the Life
Deliverables
  • Create and maintain project timelines, with input from internal team members
  • Conduct regular project status meetings with internal core team, faculty, extended teams, and external contractors to ensure effective communication of project timelines
  • Track progress of activity against established timelines
  • Executes program plan based on budget and manages against funding obtained
  • Reconciles program against original/revised budget
  • Provides quality management based on internal/external expectations
  • Initiates and measures effectiveness of recruitment strategies
  • Coordinates and participates in content planning calls with faculty and/or key content experts
  • Provides on-site project management
  • Completes contact reports for all status calls
  • Assess project issues and identify solutions to meet productivity, quality and client goals
  
Internal Responsibility
  • Serve as the project point of contact for internal teams, faculty and educational partner
  • Communicate program expectations to appropriate internal team members
  • Liaise with internal core team and other internal team members (Creative/Graphics, Editorial/Copyedit, Finance) to ensure project resourcing and that needs and milestones are me 
Other duties may be assigned to help drive deliverables within this role.  
 
What You Must Have
Education and Experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 4 years of work experience in a medical education company, healthcare communications agency, the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry
  • 2+  year of Oncology/hematology experience
  • Experience with faculty interface and faculty management
  • Experience with supporting/coordinating educational programs
  • Knowledge of LMS systems
  • Understanding compliance within ACCME and other applicable guidelines
 
Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively in a dynamic, virtual environment
  • Highly Proficient with the following computer programs and systems: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe, WebEx (or other similar systems), cloud-based file servers, calendars, messaging systems and work management tools preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively and professionally at all levels within the organization and with clients at all times
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to provide clear direction and set expectations
  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize/plan work activities and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage and prioritize personal and/or team workload
  • Responds well under pressure, is flexible
  • Results-oriented with a commitment to accountability
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills including the ability to analyze information skillfully, develop alternative solutions and work well in group problem solving solutions
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency to obtain results
  • Required to be available to work outside the company’s standard work hours
 
Travel Requirements
  • Travel within the US and internationally as necessary, based on project, sponsor and organizational needs (35% travel expected)

Salary offers are based upon several factors including experience, education, skills, training, demonstrated qualifications, location, and organizational need. The range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000. Salary is one component of the total earnings and rewards package offered.
