Position Summary
University Health Network (UHN) is seeking an experienced nursing professional to fill the key role of Nurse Practitioner in our Krembil Brain Institute (KBI) Stroke/ Neurovascular Program
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) functions in an expanded nursing role demonstrating a high level of autonomy and expert skill to triage, formulate clinical decisions and appropriately manage patients principally in the Stroke and Transient Ischemic Attack and Minor Stroke (TAMS) program. The role will require strong ability for independent practice but also collaboration with interprofessional team members to ensure seamless intervention and communication. As an integral member of the clinical team providing care to patients requiring stroke-related care, the NP will also provide leadership in identifying opportunities for improving patient care and provide support, guidance and facilitate the development of knowledge in nursing staff involved in this population of patients.
