The Assessment Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective assessment of academic and non-academic units within the university. This role requires a blend of research and analytics experience to develop, implement, and oversee assessment strategies that enhance organizational effectiveness and support continuous improvement initiatives across various university units.
Key Responsibilities:- Assessment Strategy Development: Collaborate with academic and non-academic stakeholders to develop comprehensive assessment strategies aligned with university goals and accreditation standards.
- Implementation Oversight: Coordinate the implementation of assessment processes and tools across academic and non-academic units, ensuring consistency and adherence to established methodologies.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Utilize research and analytics expertise to collect, analyze, and interpret assessment data, providing insights to inform decision-making and improve unit performance.
- Report Generation: Prepare detailed assessment reports summarizing findings, trends, and recommendations for improvement, and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to faculty, staff, and administrators on assessment best practices, data collection methods, and analysis techniques.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of assessment activities and outputs, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing corrective measures as needed.
- Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure that assessment processes align with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, facilitating the university's compliance efforts.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for enhancing assessment practices and contribute to the development of a culture of continuous improvement.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders involved in assessment activities, promoting transparency and accountability.
- Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in assessment methodologies and contribute to the integration of new approaches into university-wide assessment efforts.
Qualifications:- Master's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., education, psychology, statistics, social sciences).
- Demonstrated experience in research design, data collection, analysis, and reporting in a higher education environment.
- Must have knowledge of assessment principles, methodologies, and best practices in higher education settings.
- Must have experience with higher education accreditation processes and standards.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, SAS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
