Your Part in It:
Working out of our Long Beach office, we are looking for our next Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Manager. In this role, you will lead the configuration, optimization, and implementation of Warehouse Management Systems to support operational processes and meet customer requirements. You will oversee WMS projects, manage escalations, and ensure team training and alignment with operational goals.

What the Job Entails:

  • Configure and test WMS workflows to meet customer requirements and optimize operational processes.
  • Lead EDI (940, 945, 943, 944, 947, and 846) development and testing initiatives with service providers and customers.
  • Design and generate reports using SQL and other WMS tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define WMS configuration requirements and consult on implementation strategies.
  • Manage and support Go-lives and projects related to WMS implementations.
  • Handle escalations related to WMS issues, working closely with relevant teams to address and resolve challenges promptly.
  • Oversee the distribution of tasks within the warehouse systems team to ensure timely and efficient execution.
  • Train 1st level support and operations on new and existing WMS processes.

 

What We Are Looking For:

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including configuration and optimization.
    • Proficiency in SQL for report creation and data analysis.
    • Familiarity with EDI processes and standards.
    • Experience with WMS tools and their integration with external service providers.
  • Professional Experience:
    • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in WMS configuration, EDI development, and warehouse systems.
    • Proven track record of leading WMS implementations and supporting Go-live projects.
    • Experience in resolving escalations and coordinating across teams.
    • Working experience with Datex Footprint WMS is considered a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication skills to train and collaborate with diverse teams.
    • Leadership experience in managing teams or overseeing task distribution.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Flexibility to support on-site troubleshooting.
