Texture Artist for Characters

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Texture Artist (Characters & Creatures).

Key Responsibilities

• Texture high-resolution character and creature assets using PBR workflows in Substance Painter, Mari, or equivalent tools
• Develop detailed and layered textures including skin tones, subsurface maps, bump/normal/displacement, roughness, and specular values
• Collaborate with modeling and lookdev teams to ensure cohesive surface treatment and shader integration

Required Qualifications

• Strong portfolio showcasing realistic texture work for characters, creatures, or anatomical subjects
• Proficiency in industry-standard tools like Substance Painter, Mari, Photoshop, and UV layout tools
• Knowledge of PBR material creation and real-world material behavior (skin, fur, cloth, leather, etc.)
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment and iterate based on feedback
• Familiarity with rendering packages (Arnold, Redshift) and their shader networks is a plus
