About the role:

The Vice President, Commercial Partnerships, will primarily be responsible for new Health Plan business development; commercial definition, negotiation, and execution of go-to-market initiatives; and ongoing partner account management. This role will include internal and external executive leadership presence, team management, and collateral creation in direct support of the SVP of Commercial Partnerships.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop business with new and existing Health Plan partners through leading ideation, contracting, negotiation, and operationalization sessions for GoHealth’s core business offerings
  • Lead strategic initiatives, including opportunity identification and ideation for new commercial offerings for Health Plans
  • Build and maintain connections with senior executive leadership at Health Plans, owning full sales cycle including contract negotiations
  • Collaborate with internal partners across the business, including other Business Units and Commercial Operations, to execute on existing and new commercial vehicles
  • Evaluate business cases on financial and operational criteria to effectively prioritize; work with FP&A to align with budget; support Ops teams to realize strategic vision
  • Define pricing across products and partners; maintain margin and unit economic models for Commercial team
  • Investigate trends, industry standards, and best practices in Health Plan business development and corporate strategy to best inform recommendations
  • Support Senior Vice President of Commercial Partnerships in team development, strategic insight development, and other responsibilities as assigned

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
  • Minimum nine (9) years’ experience in relevant functional areas, including payer administration or services, business development and commercial contracting, partner accountment management, and/or go-to-market strategy
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in healthcare-specific industry areas, such as Medicare Advantage strategy and operations, payer business development, digital health growth strategy, and/or health insurance brokerage operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with ability to influence executive decision-makers
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust-based relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to autonomously operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver consistent value via effective team management
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and processes with creative problem-solving skills to drive creative internal and external solutions
  • Proven financial modeling capabilities, including in Microsoft Excel
  • Proven strategy storyboarding and pitching capabilities, including in Microsoft PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA, or other relevant graduate degree
  • Previous work experience in fast-paced, customer-focused environment, such as Consulting, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or similar industry
