Position Type: Remote

Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000/yr

Overview: Strive is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of General Ledger Accountant. This position will be responsible for a wide range of accounting and payroll functions, including general ledger accounting and payroll allocation across multiple companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to manage complex financial tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

General Ledger Accounting:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Analyze financial data and identify trends.

Payroll Allocation:
- Allocate payroll costs to appropriate companies, general ledger accounts and cost centers.
- Ensure accurate allocation of payroll expenses to specific projects or departments.
- Reconcile payroll allocations to general ledger accounts.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and payroll regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with multi-company payroll processing and allocation preferred
