Job Summary

A company is looking for a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) - Contractor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Develop progress reports and maintain compliance with state and school regulations
  • Instruct students and families on communication strategies and maintain positive relationships with students and caregivers


Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a public school environment as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH)
  • State-specific educator license in Deaf and Hard of Hearing or related field
  • Ability to work independently for at least 20 hours per week during typical school hours
  • Experience teaching in an online/virtual environment
  • Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
