Job Summary

A company is looking for a Field Medical Director, Oncology.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Physician match reviewer in Medical Oncology and imaging cases requiring specialty reviews
• Discuss determinations with requesting physicians and provide clinical rationale for appeals
• Ensure documentation of communications with medical office staff and assist in research activities related to Utilization Management

Required Qualifications

• MD/DO/MBBS with active Board Certification in Medical Oncology
• Minimum of five years' experience in Medicine, with active clinical practice within the last two years preferred
• Current, unrestricted clinical license in medicine or required specialty
• No history of major disciplinary or legal action by a state medical board
• Strong clinical, management, and organizational skills
