As we continue to expand our business, we are seeking a curious and passionate individual to join our team as the Tax Specialist and drive our business forward. 

What You´ll Do 

• Preparation and filing of U.S. and German entity sales tax returns using Avalara; handle manual filings as needed
• Manage sales tax registrations across U.S. states and oversee global GST/VAT registrations
• Own the sales tax exemption certificate process for German entity and drive automation for the U.S. entity 
• Assist the accounting team with reconciling tax data against financial records
• Support and prepare U.S. corporate income, state tax, Gross Receipts, and Franchise Tax filings
• Preparation and managing the filing of U.S. WHT forms (1099, 1042-S, 945, and 1042 returns)
• Support tax projects, including software implementation and maintenance of tax tools
• Assist with intercompany transactions and transfer pricing documentation
• Serve as contact person for tax advisors and liaison for withholding tax and sales tax issues within the group 
• Monitor legislative changes and provide proactive compliance analysis

What You´ll Bring

• Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Tax or a related discipline
• Some years of practical tax experience, preferably in a medium-sized (E-commerce) or consulting company in a tax position
• Willingness to travel on business to Germany once a year
• Good communication skills and teamspirit 
• Ability to be onsite (Monroeville - Pennsylvania) 1-2 days/week for manual checks
• Experience in working with ERP software
• Advanced skills in MS Excel
• Microsoft Dynamics D365 experience is a plus
