We set new standards with our game-changing product and are a driving force within pop-culture. We are looking for a Vice President of Special Projects to join us in advancing the industry forward.  

Our brand is rapidly expanding, and we are seeking a visionary leader to drive and execute high-impact, experiential marketing initiatives that bring SKIMS to life in physical spaces. 

 

Position Overview: 

The Vice President of Special Projects will play a pivotal role in establishing SKIMS’ physical and in-real-life (IRL) presence worldwide. This role will oversee the strategy, development, and execution of dynamic store experiences, pop-ups, activations, and other global events. With a deep understanding of fashion, cultural trends, and customer engagement, the VP of Special Projects will ensure that SKIMS’ brand message resonates across diverse demographics and regional markets. This is an executive-level role requiring a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, ideally within a fashion or apparel brand, with a proven track record of leading large-scale activations and brand experiences. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategic Leadership: 

Develop and drive the overall vision and strategy for SKIMS’ physical and IRL activations, ensuring alignment with the brand’s mission and goals. 

Identify and prioritize markets for new store openings, pop-up shops, and other experiential marketing initiatives to maximize brand visibility and engagement. 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Brand Marketing, Retail, Merchandising, and Creative to align in-store experiences with SKIMS’ brand objectives. 

Project Management: 

Lead the end-to-end execution of new store openings, pop-up experiences, and large-scale brand activations globally. 

Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring efficient delivery while maintaining SKIMS’ high-quality standards. 

Oversee relationships with external agencies, vendors, and production partners to ensure successful project outcomes. 

Market Research and Cultural Insight: 

Conduct extensive market research to identify cultural and demographic trends, adapting strategies for diverse regions to resonate with SKIMS’ target audiences. 

Continuously analyze consumer behavior, buying patterns, and cultural trends to tailor experiential strategies that drive brand loyalty and engagement. 

Stay at the forefront of global popular culture, fashion trends, and customer expectations to create unique, culturally relevant brand moments. 

Team Development and Leadership: 

Build and lead a high-performing team responsible for experiential marketing and special projects. 

Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback to team members, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and excellence. 

Ensure effective communication and collaboration across departments to achieve cohesive, brand-aligned projects. 

Data-Driven Decision Making: 

Develop KPIs and track performance metrics for experiential initiatives, analyzing data to understand the impact and effectiveness of each activation. 

Leverage insights from activations to inform future marketing strategies, making data-informed adjustments as necessary to enhance brand impact. 

Innovation and Brand Representation: 

Continuously explore innovative approaches to experiential marketing, bringing forward-thinking ideas that align with SKIMS’ brand ethos. 

Act as a brand ambassador for SKIMS, upholding and enhancing the brand’s image and reputation in all physical and IRL marketing efforts. 

Qualifications: 

Minimum 10 years of experience in experiential marketing, retail operations, or a similar role within an agency or fashion brand. 

Strong knowledge of global popular culture, demographic trends, and regional buying behaviors. 

Proven track record of managing large-scale events, store openings, pop-up experiences, and global brand activations. 

Exceptional project management skills, with experience overseeing complex, cross-functional initiatives. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. 

Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours as required by project needs. 

 

 

 


$250,000 - $275,000 a year
