Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Life Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and determine acceptance or denial of life applications with face amounts up to $1,000,000
  • Ensure appropriate information for underwriting requirements is requested, including medical reports and laboratory studies
  • Prepare data and reports for the Medical Information Bureau and support contract change and reinstatement underwriting
Required Qualifications
  • 2-year College Degree in Finance, Business, or Economics
  • 1-2 years of experience in the Life Insurance industry
  • Knowledge of life and annuity sales strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends if required
