Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel, Privacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on applicable laws and regulations related to privacy and data security, including GLBA and CCPA
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure compliance with privacy obligations and perform legal research
• Draft and finalize privacy and security policies and escalate high-risk issues to senior leadership

Required Qualifications

• J.D. degree with state bar membership and superior academic credentials
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a top-tier law firm, in-house, or governmental agencies
• Experience in fintech and handling privacy or data governance matters in consumer lending
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state privacy laws, including GLBA and Regulation P
• Self-starter mentality with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
