Senior Character Artist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Character Artist (Contract).

Key Responsibilities

• Model character art assets including heads, bodies, and props at a high-quality level
• Mentor and assist junior artists while collaborating with Art Directors and Lead Artists on art direction
• Evaluate techniques to enhance efficiency and visual fidelity in the character art pipeline

Required Qualifications

• Advanced skills in Maya (or Max), Substance Painter, Zbrush, and Photoshop
• Expert knowledge of human and animal anatomy
• Advanced understanding of PBR shaders and complex node-based shader networks
• Experience with generating normal maps from high poly models
• Strong foundation in organic and hard surface modeling techniques
