We’re looking for a Medical Appointment Scheduler at an exciting time - we’ve successfully launched multiple platforms and products, raised over $60m in VC funding, reached profitability, and have a growth trajectory of over 300% for 2024.

WHAT YOU WILL BE GETTING INVOLVED IN:

We’re seeking a hard-working and diligent Medical Records and Billing Administrator to support the growth of Braincussion, our National virtual TBI assessment service. You will be one of the founding members of Braincussion's operations team and a key contributor to our team’s success.

We have recently launched our TBI assessment, Braincussion, as a service line, and it is rapidly scaling. We have big ambitions to do thousands of assessments and referrals by the end end of the year, and we are looking for a Medical Records and Billing Administrator to ensure the accuracy and organization of our medical records and provide outstanding support to attorneys and clients.

As a rapidly scaling business, you can expect your role to develop over time. However, some of the types of things you could be getting involved in are:

  • Maintaining various files, logs, medical records ensuring accuracy and completeness of information
  • Assembling patients' health information including patient symptoms, medical history, exam results, reports, and billing
  • Reviewing and ensuring all patient forms are completed, properly identified, signed, and are uploaded in preferred style
  • Communicating as needed with physicians and other health care professionals to clarify and obtain information
  • Submitting requested documentation to physicians or for use in legal actions while following patient consent and confidentiality protocols

WHAT YOU MIGHT BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • You have a go-getter mentality, pay high-attention to detail, and are hyper-organized
  • You have outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • You have experience maintaining accuracy of patient's medical records, and have some working knowledge of HIPAA and other medical insurance regulations and terminology for private payer, state and federal plans including coding, billing, and reimbursement protocols
  • You can comfortably navigate the MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel
  • You have had worked in the legal industry (the personal injury space would be a huge plus)

HOW WE WILL INTERVIEW YOU:

We try to keep our interview process short and we can move through the stages quickly. Due to availability, there may be a change to the order of the interview process, but generally speaking, this is what you can expect:

  • Introductory call/interview with Sam, our Senior Talent Parter. The call is via telephone and will last around 30 minutes.
  • Should it feel like there is an initial fit for all, we will invite to our office for an in-person interview.
