Job Description

The  Nutrition Services Utility Aid  reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Under the direct supervision of the Diet Clerk of the Nutrition Services Department, performs a variety of food service and dish room duties, as well as other related tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides a positive customer service experience with all patients and customers by stocking and preparing food, performing cashier functions, setting up and delivering catering items, and collecting and distributing meal selection menus for patients.
  • Gathers, cleans, and sanitizes trays, equipment, and department.
  • Prepares and/or portions items working from production sheets or catering sheets for Patient line, Doctor’s Lounge, Café, Floor Stock, Nourishments, and Catering.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
