The Press Room Facilitator bridges the gap between the front-end office (e.g., production planning, customer service, Quality, and management) and the employees on the production floor. This role ensures efficient communication, workflow management, and operational excellence within the press room. The facilitator will oversee the day-to-day coordination of press operations and Bindery, resolve issues, and help maintain high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordination and Communication:
Serve as the primary liaison between the front office and press room staff. Communicate job requirements, deadlines, and priorities clearly to press operators Bindery Operators and support staff. Report press room updates, challenges, and progress to management.
Workflow Management:
Monitor daily production schedules to ensure timely completion of print jobs. Identify and address bottlenecks, reallocating resources as needed to meet deadlines. Collaborate with prepress and finishing departments to streamline production.
Employee Support and Oversight:
Provide guidance and training to press room employees, ensuring adherence to operational standards and best practices. Act as a resource for troubleshooting production-related issues. Foster a positive, team-oriented environment by addressing employee concerns and promoting collaboration.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all print jobs meet company and customer quality standards. Assist QA in implementing corrective actions for any quality issues.
Safety and Compliance:
Promote and enforce safety protocols in the press room. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Participate in routine safety meetings and inspections.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency. Collaborate with management on implementing new technologies or workflows. The Employee selected for this position will be tasked with participating in continuous improvement training.
Experience with Labels Printing, and corresponding workflows.
Experience with Quality, particularly in printing.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence.

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
The pay range for this role at the noted location is $22 - $25 / hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
