Virginia Policy Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Policy Specialist to support trauma-informed service delivery across the agency and social services system.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, interpret, implement, and evaluate policies and practices related to trauma-informed care
• Collaborate with agency divisions and external stakeholders on policy and program development
• Participate in the Office of Trauma and Resilience Policy team to promote statewide service delivery for children and families

Required Qualifications

• Experience in the administration of human services, child welfare, education, or juvenile justice
• Extensive knowledge of trauma-informed care and its impact on individuals and families
• Ability to interpret relevant laws, rules, and regulations
• Experience in policy and practice related to engaging those with lived experience
• Knowledge of racial inequities and disproportionality
