Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage all phases of litigation involving claims of moderate to heavy value, including conducting legal research and drafting legal documents
• Support senior attorneys in case handling through trial, including preparation and management of litigation processes
• Develop and implement advanced legal strategies for discovery, investigation, and trial preparation

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the bar in Utah and in good standing
• Minimum of 5 years of successful trial attorney experience, preferably in insurance law
• Proven experience managing moderately complex litigation with successful outcomes
• General knowledge of insurance law and related litigation
