Underwriting Helpdesk Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriting Helpdesk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely support and guidance to Sales, Underwriting, and Operations staff on loan scenarios and guidelines
  • Maintain communication with Loan Officers, Underwriters, and Processors, addressing their underwriting questions
  • Research agency guidelines and maintain the Self-Employed Income Dashboard for accurate income calculations
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with FHA, VA, Conventional, USDA, and HFA guidelines
  • Complete knowledge of the mortgage industry and related agencies
  • Familiarity with RESPA requirements and Good Faith Estimate preparation
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite and Encompass Loan Origination system is preferred
