Senior Health Information Management Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior HIM Specialist who will ensure the accuracy and security of health data and information.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the collection, processing, maintenance, and disclosure of protected patient health information
• Utilize electronic medical records and health information systems to ensure compliance with regulations
• Monitor and perform various functions related to release of information, scanning, and record management

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of healthcare experience with a vocational certificate or degree in HIM, or 3 years of relevant experience
• Additional education in HIM, Business, or related fields may substitute for experience
• Experience with electronic medical records and health information management processes
• Ability to pass a TX DOT background check for transportation duties
