Nuclear Emergency Preparedness Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Nuclear Emergency Preparedness Program Specialist for a fully remote contract role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stand up the emergency preparedness program for the client's Demonstration Plant
  • Develop program procedures and coordinate with various departments and vendors for EP program deliverables
  • Provide support for NRC licensing questions and assist in the development of emergency response strategies
Required Qualifications and Education
  • B.S. degree in an engineering or science discipline or 8 years of experience in Emergency Preparedness at a nuclear facility
  • 35+ years of commercial nuclear experience
  • Knowledge of emergency preparedness program requirements and licensing basis
  • Experience developing and approving nuclear plant EP procedures is preferred
  • Strong understanding of nuclear regulations and plant operations during normal and off-normal events
