Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Typically requires an associate degree
AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or AHIMA RHIT or CCS certification is required
Typically requires 2+ years of related experience
Experience with PCS and CPT coding is necessary
Preferred experience with Altera and AllScripts on the hospital side
