Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist I.

Key Responsibilities:

• Make telephone calls to patients, hospitals, and insurance carriers to research claims and obtain information
• Document account activity in the claims processing system and follow up on unpaid claims daily
• Ensure compliance with company standards and state/federal guidelines while managing aging accounts

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of claims, billing, and collection experience
• Customer service experience is required
• Prior collections or medical billing experience with basic understanding of ICD10 and HCPCS is preferred
• Basic knowledge of insurance and claims processing is preferred
