The Human Resources Generalist II is responsible for independently performing comprehensive HR support for a designated location and/or unit/department. This position leads the execution of the day-to-day responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.
What you'll do:- Provide comprehensive HR support for a designated location or unit/department.
- Advise managers on legal guidelines for hiring and employee management.
- Support and implement organizational change initiatives.
- Engage in employee relations counselling and manage exit interviews.
- Facilitate performance management processes, including performance reviews.
- Manage the administration of annual merit increases and talent planning.
- Oversee recruitment processes, onboarding, and training activities.
- Lead leave management and accommodation processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records for regulatory compliance.
- Manage employee operations, including contracts and leave of absence.
- Lead employee engagement activities and ensure HR policy compliance.
- Prepare monthly payroll mutations and coordinate with payroll providers.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
What it takes:- 4-year degree or equivalent work experience.
- Over 6 years of related HR experience in a similar work environment.
- Experience managing HR operations in an international context.
- Demonstrates Proto Labs values of Teamwork, Achievement, and Trust.
- Advanced knowledge of employment law and HR policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS applications.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to relate to people at all levels.
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to influence and implement organizational changes.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with confidential information.
- Culturally sensitive with the ability to work with diverse cultures.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch and other European languages is a plus.
- HR certification (SPHR or PHR) is advantageous.
