New York Licensed IP Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for an IP Counsel to join their Legal Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the company's IP litigation matters and manage disputes with outside counsel
• Draft, negotiate, and close complex IP-related transactions, including licensing and partnerships
• Identify IP legal risks and implement risk mitigation strategies while overseeing the intellectual property portfolio

Required Qualifications

• JD with active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (New York preferred)
• 7+ years of experience in IP law, ideally in both law firm and in-house settings
• Experience with IP issues specific to AI and emerging technologies
• Proven track record in managing complex IP litigation matters
• Experience in drafting and negotiating complex IP-related transactions
