The Role

Providing exceptional, cost-effective care is at the heart of Modern Health. We are looking for a Senior Health Economics and Outcomes Researcher to join our Clinical Strategy and Research team who will be responsible for designing, conducting, and translating economic and outcomes analyses to support the company's mission. This role will report to the Director of Clinical Research and Scientific Affairs.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Hawaii.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct economic and outcomes analyses to demonstrate the impact of novel health care programs on health care utilization, disease progression, indirect costs of care, and patient-reported outcomes
  • Provide consultation on all aspects of internal real-world evidence databases and analyses including objectives, design, data source identification, statistical analysis, and interpretation
  • Work closely with clinical data analysts, as well as other internal and external partners, to develop and execute analytic models using various sources of health care utilization, patient-reported, and health outcomes data to demonstrate value to employer customers and payers
  • Generate high quality, readily interpretable deliverables and performance metrics (e.g., data tables, graphs, charts, study reports)
  • Effectively manage and track all analyses including those with external partners to ensure timelines are met and all stakeholders are aware of project status
  • Create executive summaries and slide decks to deliver clear insights to senior leadership on progress and findings of your work
  • Translate health economics, outcomes, and clinical research findings to prospects, clients, and consultants in a timely, concise, and compelling way; this will include writing market-facing white papers and summaries of  our clinical research studies, responding to RFPs, joining calls with prospects and consultants, and creating polished, short reports and slide decks
  • Translate your work for internal audiences and train and support internal teams including go-to-market teams on key messages
  • Stay current on health economic and policy literature to inform the future of company services and product innovations
  • Offer subject matter expertise to cross-functional partners (e.g., clinical, product, finance, and go-to-market) to align economic evaluations with organizational goals and initiatives
  • Synthesize feedback from client, prospect, and consultant conversations to share back with clinical and scientific teams to inform strategy

Who You Are

  • You have expertise in cost analysis, value-based care, and health outcomes research
  • You have a doctoral degree in health economics, health services research, public health, or a related field
  • Minimum 4+ years of post-graduate experience with demonstrated high performance in digital health, academia, or other health related consulting companies
  • You have familiarity with tools like R or equivalent; bonus if you have experience in SQL and data visualization
  • You’re a critical thinker, who possesses strong analytical capabilities, and demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills across settings; experience and skills in writing preferred
  • You excel in reviewing, synthesizing and communicating scientific information to broad audiences in a clear and compelling manner
  • You have a strong strategic and analytic (quantitative and qualitative) approach
  • You enjoy working in dynamic and ambiguous environments with lots of cross-functional collaboration
  • You have strong attention to detail
  • You are passionate about innovating and moving mental health care into the future
  • You are able to manage multiple activities and projects and prioritize activities accordingly

Depending on the scope of the role, some ranges are indicative of On Target Earnings (OTE) and includes both base pay and commission at 100% achievement of established targets.
