Lunar Solar Group is seeking a Senior Manager of Programmatic to join our Paid Media Team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing programmatic campaigns across DSPs and ad servers, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record of delivering client success.
Job Summary:
As the Senior Manager of Programmatic, you will oversee the planning, activation, and optimization of programmatic campaigns across multiple DSP platforms, including The Trade Desk, DV360, StackAdapt, and Roku. You will manage client relationships, develop and implement acquisition and brand awareness strategies, and ensure campaigns deliver against client goals. This role also requires expertise in programmatic technologies, reporting, and troubleshooting, as well as the ability to collaborate across creative and product marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Campaign Strategy and Planning: Collaborate closely with programmatic team members to develop lower-funnel acquisition and upper-funnel brand awareness strategies tailored to client needs.
Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships, presenting strategies, and delivering QBRs.
Programmatic Activation: Own daily campaign monitoring, pacing, optimization, tracking, and reporting within DSP platforms such as The Trade Desk, DV360, StackAdapt, and others.
Performance Analysis: Monitor dashboards and key reporting tools to assess channel effectiveness, identify trends, and surface opportunities for testing and improvement.
Publisher Partnerships: Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with key publisher partners, negotiating favorable deals and ensuring alignment with programmatic best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with creative, product marketing, and brand teams to align on acquisition goals and initiatives from a programmatic perspective.
Technical Troubleshooting: Address and resolve technical issues within ad serving, DSPs, or pixel implementation.
Creative and Pixel Management: Traffic creatives for new campaigns and implement pixels on relevant pages for upcoming campaigns.
Agency Collaboration: Partner with the agency and other programmatic stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment, share best practices, and uncover new testing opportunities.
Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
Experience: 4+ years of experience in programmatic media, with hands-on keyboard experience in DSPs (e.g., DV360, The Trade Desk) and ad servers (e.g., CM360).
Retail Media Expertise: Experience with retail media platforms such as Roundel, Pacvue, Walmart Connect, or Amazon is a plus.
Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of media technologies, attribution technologies, trafficking, and pixel implementation. Familiarity with Google Analytics and CM360 is essential.
Analytical Skills: Advanced analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and present data to inform campaign strategies and optimizations.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling client presentations and articulate complex strategies clearly.
Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the digital media landscape for branding and direct response campaigns, as well as emerging trends in programmatic advertising.
Collaboration and Independence: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented, problem-solving environment.
Technical Tools: Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLookups, Pivot Tables) and familiarity with other relevant tools.
Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment and manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
