Head of Decarbonisation Policy
As the Head of Decarbonisation Policy, you will own and lead Logistics UK’s sustainability agenda, devising strategies to drive the industry’s transition to net zero across all logistics modes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of decarbonisation policy, creating innovative proposals that influence government and industry thinking.
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers, including senior government officials and industry stakeholders.
- Produce high-quality reports, consultation responses, and presentations, representing Logistics UK as a media spokesperson when required.
- Manage and mentor a team of policy professionals, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Lead member engagement through councils and working groups, securing consensus and actionable outcomes.
Head of Road & English Regions Policy
The Head of Road & English Regions Policy will lead policy development for road freight and regional logistics, ensuring our members’ voices shape national and regional transport strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement impactful road freight policies, advocating on behalf of Logistics UK members.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers and regional authorities.
- Lead Freight Councils across England, delivering valuable insights and fostering collaboration.
- Produce concise and effective briefings, reports, and presentations to guide stakeholders on regulatory changes.
- Inspire and mentor a team of policy managers, driving excellence and collaboration.
- Proven experience in policy development within logistics, transport, or public affairs.
- Outstanding communication and persuasion abilities, confident in engaging with senior stakeholders and high-level discussions.
- A visionary leader with the capacity to inspire teams and deliver impactful results.
- In-depth knowledge of sustainability or transport policy, with a demonstrated history of shaping decisions at senior levels.
- Excellent analytical skills paired with strong leadership and effective communication.
- A strategic, forward-thinking mindset with a proactive approach to influencing change.
