This role offers a hybrid work option, meaning you can both work from home and commute to a LinkedIn office, depending on what’s best for you and when it is important for your team to be together. This role can be based in either New York City NY, Chicago IL, San Francisco CA, Sunnyvale CA, or Omaha NE.

The Senior Manager of GTM Planning & Performance will lead a highly visible team, working directly with Sales, Sales Ops, and FP&A executives to deliver our global top-down financial planning, forecasting, and ongoing business performance reporting for our Sales Solutions business. This team is expected to be thought leaders on the trajectory of the business, interact with LinkedIn’s most senior business leaders, and become impactful operators within LinkedIn. Early priorities for this leader will include building upon our top-down forecasting process and focusing on further evolving our predictive methodologies and approaches for both planning and forecasting. 

The ideal candidate will have extensive financial modeling experience and exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. They will be expected to build a deep and thorough understanding of the LinkedIn Sales Solutions (“LSS”) business and its KPIs/business drivers and leverage that to shape business performance. The ideal candidate should be comfortable interacting with all levels and functions, including Executive Management, FP&A, Biz Ops, and Sales Ops leaders and colleagues. They will need to effectively collaborate with a broad set of stakeholders and job functions across all geographies in a challenging and fast-paced environment. We're seeking a self-starter who can recognize where improvement can be made and who will take the initiative to do so, not being afraid to question the norm. 

The Senior Manager will also be responsible for building and developing a top-caliber operations team. 

Responsibilities:   

  • Lead a team responsible for topline (bookings) planning, top-down forecasting, strategic headcount planning, and supporting other GTM strategic initiatives 
  • Own critical cross-functional relationships across Sales, Sales Ops, FP&A, and Biz Ops; be the voice of the LSS Planning & Performance team in key discussions with senior business leaders 
  • Develop recommendations for financial Planning & Forecasting with a long term focus on enhancing accuracy and improving methodology 
  • Continuously evolve the way we think about the business, analyze ongoing business trends, and present findings to leadership to influence LSS strategy and its execution 
  • Drive consistency across the SaaS business lines, and adopt best practices to improve accuracy and efficiency 
  • Prepare executive level communications (e.g., plan recommendations, forecast discussion materials, steer-co materials, quarterly business reviews, etc.) in collaboration with Sales executives and cross functional teams 
  • Inspire excellence by leading by example, and coaching, developing, and inspiring others 
  • Foster a positive, values-driven team culture 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:    

  • BA/BS degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, computer science or another related technical field  
  • 7+ years’ work experience in management consulting, sales, strategy, operations, finance , or a blend of these fields   
  • 2+ years’ experience managing people  
  • Experience with financial modeling in Excel, and building / delivering PowerPoint presentations  

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Experience working in Enterprise SaaS businesses
  • Strong business and technical communication skills 
  • Experience extracting and manipulating data with SQL 
  • Experience building and managing complex financial models, and designing/executing complex data analyses to deliver insights on business performance  
  • Experience using data and insights to tell stories and develop action plans 
  • Business acumen and creative problem-solving skills; not afraid to challenge the status quo 
  • Strong relationship management experience and proven ability to work seamlessly across internal teams in a highly collaborative environment  
  • Experience working in high-growth, performance focused environments

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The pay range for this role is $146,000 to  $237,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
