Job Responsibilities: What you will do

Incumbents provide on-job-guidance to lower level developers. Incumbents are strong individual contributors focusing on design and development of applications. Incumbents take lead roles in an Agile teams as needed.

  • Perform program design, coding, testing, development and documentation activities of highly complex and/or multiple inter-related applications.
  • Consult with users to determine project scope.
  • Develop cost/time estimates and value-add impact for assigned projects/programs.
  • Provide leadership with pros/cons for moving forward with potential development projects and communicate rationale for recommended action.
  • Draft and/or revise Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs).
  • Participate in integration, training and implementation activities.
  • Develop technical specifications, development approaches and time requirements for average to large size projects or packaged software implementation.
  • Report status updates accurately to IT and/or business leaders.
  • Mentor and/or provide on the job training to less experienced developers.
  • Provide workable solutions to fix project delays.
  • Refine and update technical/business skills and experience through work assignments, advanced technical/business training and attending professional/business industry conferences.
  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Qualifications: What you need to bring

  • 8+ years programming experience required.
  • 5+ years programming with RPG required.
  • SQL experience preferred.
  • Bachelors in computer science or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
  • Must be able to transfer knowledge to others.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities appropriately.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must be able to collaborate with others.


Pay Range: $102,500.00 - $157,500.00 Annual
