With a one-for-one donation program—we have quickly become the largest donor of emergency contraception in the U.S. Julie is driven by the belief that all individuals deserve easy access to emergency contraception without stigma, fear, or anxiety.

The Social Director will strategize and execute on a diverse context mix of cutting-edge social-first media that resonates with a modern and savvy audience on TikTok, Instagram, and future social media channels. This person will be responsible for growth on Julie’s social channels for all metrics including followers, engagement, and content volume output. We envision Julie’s future as a media or TV network–driving the unique creation of media that puts Julie at the forefront of creative execution and culture. Let’s have some fun :)

Main Responsibilities

  • Operate content channels that build and engage a robust Julie community with a goal of 10x growth in size of community, working closely with Editorial Director and SVP of Brand and Creative  
    • Explore and launch repeatable franchises/”shows”
    • Explore and launch new content channels 
  • Create and manage Julie’s social media guidelines and ensure they’re met across channels
  • Manage and oversee all social media accounts, including content scheduling, posting, and community engagement.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to grow brand awareness, followers, and engagement.
  • Manage part-time social media contractors responsible for pulling creator talent, managing contracts, ideating trends and concepts, and community management. 
  • Manage and lead the creation of a high-volume of content for various channels, primarily TikTok and Instagram.
  • Collaborate with wider team to develop effective plans for social channels supporting product launches and 360 marketing campaigns 
  • Monitor social media analytics and generate reports to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and content.
  • Manage community management to ensure comments, messages, and inquiries are handled in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Be our in-house thought leader on shifts in social media trends and algorithms with strategies and best practices on how to optimize content visibility and engagement. 
  • Engage with influencers, partners, and the community to foster collaborations and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with logistics and fulfillment partners to optimize shipping processes and address any shipping-related issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and insights for content development, including support for monthly reporting.In partnership with SVP, Brand and Creative, manage and track social media budget, effectively allocating resources and ensuring all plans are executed and goals are met within budget

Location: Remote

Contract terms: 40 hours per week (3 month contract to start) at $140,000 per year
