Job Summary

A company is looking for a National Tax Office IRS Controversy Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with federal tax controversy matters, resolving disputes with the IRS
• Draft submissions to the IRS, including notice responses and protests to proposed audit reports
• Draft firm-wide alerts on current developments in federal income tax controversy issues

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive federal income tax consulting experience
• CPA or J.D. preferred, EA
• Basic understanding of federal income tax issues and tax law regarding various entities
• Experience with federal tax controversy matters
• Strong proficiency with tax research databases
