Illinois Licensed Tax Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Temporary Tax Director to lead its direct tax and tax provision functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provision processes, including preparation and review of tax footnotes
• Manage deferred taxes, valuation allowances, and uncertain tax positions across U.S. and international entities
• Collaborate with finance teams to ensure timely filing of U.S. and international income tax returns and monitor global tax reform developments

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's in Tax or JD/LLM preferred
• CPA preferred
• 10+ years of experience in U.S. federal, state, and international income tax, including public accounting and in-house corporate experience
• Strong technical expertise in ASC 740 and U.S. international tax provisions
• Experience in fast-paced environments such as eCommerce, SaaS, or digital retail
