Florida Licensed Clinical DRG Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical DRG Auditor who will perform DRG validation reviews of medical records to ensure accurate coding and compliance with guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of medical record documentation to verify the accuracy of diagnosis and procedure codes
• Achieve productivity and quality performance standards set by management
• Assist in training new Coders or Clinical DRG Auditors through monitoring and feedback

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN licensure in the United States and the state of primary home residency
• One coding certification (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, CCDS, or CPC) required within one year of hire
• 5+ years of clinical experience in an inpatient hospital setting
• 3+ years of MS DRG/APR DRG coding or auditing experience with expert knowledge of ICD-10 coding guidelines
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and virtual meeting tools
