Video Content Producer/Editor - BabyCenter & What to Expect

The Opportunity
 
Everyday Health Group Pregnancy & Parenting is seeking a Video Content Producer/Editor for BabyCenter and What to Expect. You will be responsible for producing video content that builds brand affinity and awareness through creative storytelling and strategic platform-specific packaging.
 
Reporting into the Director, Video Production and working within the Multi-Platform Content team, this role will collaborate closely with social and editorial leads, combining creative and technical skills to deliver audience growth and retention across social media, web and mobile apps. An ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience as a video editor and producer, a genuine interest in online mom culture, and proven expertise in developing video content for multiple platforms.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Produce a wide range of video content focused on pregnancy and parenting for social media platforms (primarily Instagram and TikTok) and web/app distribution
  • Pitch new ideas based on past performance and content strategy
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams on video scoping and planning – from creative ideation through execution and publishing
  • Manage stakeholder reviews and feedback
  • Keep video projects on budget and on deadline, managing invoices and expenses as needed
  • Manage multimedia asset library, including archiving and music and footage licensing
  • Occasionally shoot original content at our New York office studios
Job Qualifications
  • Proficient with video editing software, including Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience ideating and producing video for social media platforms, including editing footage within Instagram, TikTok and CapCut
  • Experience with motion graphics is a plus
  • Ability to interview and direct video subjects for personal narrative content, providing a supportive environment for sensitive topics
  • Skilled in planning, executing, and evaluating videos in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders such as Editorial, Sales and Marketing
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying attention to detail and following each brand’s style guide
  • Thorough understanding of video best practices for social media, web, and mobile apps
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Note: The salary compensation for this role is $80,000 to $100,000. Individual pay within the compensation range for this business unit specific role is determined based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, education and training, as well as business and company performance.
