Overview

Edifecs is seeking a hands-on Product Design Lead to be a part of the Experience Design

Group at Edifecs. As Design Lead, you will spearhead the design of the next generation of

products, tools, and platforms in the Healthcare IT domain. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, you will coordinate design projects and ensure the team delivers high quality design solutions. You will also play a crucial role in mentoring and nurturing the growth of design talent. We are looking for an individual with exceptional leadership skills, a collaborative spirit, and a proven ability to translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive, user-centric solutions. The Design Lead will champion design thinking principles, foster a culture of innovation, and excellence, and ensure the delivery of exceptional user experiences that shape our brand’s future.

What you will do:

 

          Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the overall product vision and strategy, aligning UX priorities accordingly.

          Serve as a role model for the design team, embodying best practices and setting standards for quality.

          Act as a resource and advocate, providing support, guidance, and mentorship on design methodologies, tools, and processes.

          Champion user-centric design and customer-centricity throughout all product phases and across the organization.

          Ask the right questions to define key problems to solve for features and new products.

          Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communication design ideas.

          Create user flows and journey maps to ensure a user-centered design approach.

          Perform usability testing and iterate on designs based on feedback, best practices, trends, and data.

          Proactively collaborate across functions and time zones.

          Effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and team members, advocating for the user with evidence-based insights.

          Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs that meet user and business requirements.

What you will bring:

          Any relevant industry experience is welcomed.

          Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., HCI, graphic design, or interactive

          design).

          7-10 years of product design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design

          expertise and a thorough understanding of good design processes. DO NOT APPLY

          WITHOUT A PORTFOLIO.

          Experience leading design projects from concept to delivery, with a focus on user-centered

          design methodologies.

          Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and

          priorities effectively.

          Solid understanding of user research methodologies, usability principles, accessibility

          guidelines, and design best practices.

          Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into intuitive

          and visually appealing user interfaces.

          Ability to identify and define the “right” problem to solve from diverse data sets.

          Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Must be willing and able to

          proactively reach out to stakeholders and team members for collaboration and support.

          Demonstrable understanding of modern software development processes and concerns

          as they pertain to design.

          Proficiency with design and prototyping tools, such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.

          Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
