Sr. HVAC Technician


Job Type: Full-Time; Non-Exempt
Shifts: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM | Overtime available
Location: Ravena, NY
Pay Rate: Negotiable, based on experience

Who You Are:

As a Sr. HVAC Technician, you are a skilled expert in refrigeration, controls, and pipe fitting, responsible for maintaining and repairing critical HVAC systems. You excel in troubleshooting, ensuring efficiency, and keeping our cultivation facility running safely and smoothly.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure peak system performance.
  • Partner with the Facilities Maintenance Manager to assess needs, review layouts, and execute efficient installations and repairs.
  • Diagnose, repair, and optimize HVAC units using advanced tools, software, and engineering specifications.
  • Maintain a safe, organized work environment while ensuring proper use and accountability of tools and equipment.
  • Adapt to business needs with flexibility, including occasional overtime or overnight work.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial or residential HVAC systems.
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and analyze blueprints, procedures, and regulations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to clearly communicate and document repairs.
  • Experience with CMMS software for tracking work orders, inventory, and system performance.

Even Better If:

  • You’re experienced with Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • You have a background in VFD installation, troubleshooting, and programming.
  • You’re familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirement:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted on a consistent basis throughout the assigned shift
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to climb ladders and crawl under low spaces
  • Ability to lift and reach with arms above shoulder heigh for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in an environment that is exposed to plant materials and strong odors
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Outdoor environmental conditions may be hot, cold, rain, snow or other natural weather phenomena.
