Intuit Credit Karma is a mission-driven company, focused on championing financial progress for our more than 140 million members globally. While we're best known for pioneering free credit scores, our members turn to us for everything related to their financial goals, including identity monitoring, applying for credit cards, shopping for insurance and loans (car, home and personal) and savings accounts and checking accounts* – all for free. Credit Karma has grown significantly through the years: we now have more than 1,700 employees across our offices in Oakland, Charlotte, Culver City, San Diego, London, Bangalore, and New York City.

*Banking services provided by MVB Bank, Inc., Member FDIC

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Director of Product to lead product management for our Personal Loans business which is our second largest business line that drives more than a quarter of our business. This role will be a perfect mix of driving continuous growth within an existing core business and coming up with inventive strategies to unlock the next S-curve for the business. Given the combined data assets across Credit Karma and Intuit, large member base, deep lender partnerships and proprietary technologies, you will have the opportunity to bring innovative products to market to help our members use Personal Loans as a tool to meet their financial goals such as consolidating debt or financing large purchases.

What you’ll do:

  • You will craft vision, drive strategy and oversee execution with a high functioning cross-functional team spread across Oakland and Charlotte
  • You will champion a culture of member focus and align product plans to solve clear pain points even if the solutions cut across various teams at Credit Karma. Solve problems holistically, not in siloes
  • You will make data-driven product decisions supported by both metrics and user research
  • You will create clear measurable goals for the cross-functional product team and drive alignment and accountability while maintaining autonomy for team members
  • You will manage and mentor a team of Product Managers
  • You will continuously look for ways to improve execution efficiency in partnership with key functional leads continuously iterating on process improvements while also bringing in standardization where necessary
  • As part of the broader product leadership team at Credit Karma, you will help motivate the broader company to help solve big consumer pain points that impact each and every one of our 140M+ members

Why you’ll love the role:

  • Create and grow innovative products that are accelerating consumer-friendly trends in an otherwise opaque and predatory industry
  • Work on high visibility projects that are well-funded as top corporate priorities
  • Join a talented and experienced cross-functional team operating in a fast-paced ‘startup-like’ environment within Credit Karma
  • Manage and grow a large existing business that’d serve as a platform to take bigger riskier product bets

What we are looking for:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in product management with a demonstrated track record of developing well-designed consumer products that solve meaty pain points and leadership with technically challenging projects

What we would like to see:

  • 3+ years of people management experience preferred
  • Comfortable working within legal, ethical, and policy constraints as well as user constraints
  • Ability to set and drive the “big picture” strategy while also having the capability to roll-up sleeves and deep-dive into systems/ platforms to provide detailed technical guidance to the team, enabling them to execute more effectively and deliver products on time
  • Experience in creating, executing, and delivering against a product roadmap driving significant business and consumer impact

Benefits at Credit Karma include:

  • Medical and Dental Coverage
  • Retirement Plan
  • Commuter Benefits
  • Wellness perks
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, Baby Bonding, Cultural Observance, & More)
  • Education Perks
  • Paid Gift Week in December
