Veterinary Equipment Sterilization Assistant

As a Veterinary Equipment Sterilization Assistant you would be responsible for day-to-day operations of our pack and sterilization program. All of our Veterinary Assistants are vital members of our team; working closely with the technicians and doctors to ensure that each patient receives the highest quality of care. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Surgical equipment care including: cleaning, maintenance, sterilization, and organization
  • Maintaining surgical suite and equipment before, during and after surgery

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills with team members
  • Proficient time management, ability to problem solve, attention to detail, learn, and handle multiple tasks
  • Enthusiastic team player and positive professional attitude.
  • Motivated and driven to learn and grow skills and knowledgebase
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and work on feet most of the day.
  • Must have a flexible schedule for closing shifts and rotating Saturdays

Colorado Canine Orthopedics is a progressive, state-of-the-art, small animal, orthopedic hospital specializing in ACL repair, fractures, joint replacements, arthroscopy, and neurosurgery. Our practice includes 6 orthopedic surgeons, approximately 45 other team members and is the largest orthopedic surgical practice in this region of the country.

We are a proud United Veterinary Care Partner hospital. United Veterinary Care supports the unique culture and individuality of each partner hospital while empowering the hospital teams in their care for patients. One of our goals is to support our community of hospitals in creating sustainable, fulfilling careers in a profession we love.

Job Type: Full time, 32+ hours per week, varying days Monday through Saturday. Typical shift times rotate between 10-6pm and 12-8pm. 

Pay: $16-$18 per hour
