For quality assurance and evaluation, PAMS Foster Care and Preventive teams perform a close, structured review of documented casework practice in a statistically valid ample of cases from each contracted provider agency. PAMS reviews identify major gaps in practice which are immediately flagged for corrective action by the provider.
PAMS reviews consist of over 100 questions for each program, which capture compliance with key ACS policies and standards, and assesses the quality of case practice, including supervision and service planning. The unit flags all critical safety and risk issues through alerts in real time and assures follow-up by program.
The Quality Assurance Supervisor will utilize a standardized QA PAMS instrument to evaluate both provider case practice and PAMS reviewer inter-rater reliability as part of the Team’s internal quality assurance process.
