Job Summary

A company is looking for an Oncology Registrar, Part-Time, Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifies, registers, and maintains records of all cancer patients using the IMPAC-MRS system
• Performs daily coding and abstracting activities of the Tumor Registry area
• Abstracts information on malignant diseases, including demographics, history, diagnostic procedures, and treatment details

Required Qualifications

• Certification as Certified Tumor Registrar (or eligible) from the National Cancer Registrar Association required
• Minimum of an Associate Degree or other health information management credentials preferred
• Progressive experience as a health information technician or manager in a Tumor Registry or similar function
• Knowledge of FORDS Manual, Collaborative Staging, and Multiple Primaries and Histology Manual required
• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical records science
