Job Summary

A company is looking for a Cancer Registrar.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the cancer registry and organize accreditation activities for the American College of Surgeons cancer program
• Conduct patient care evaluations, quality improvement activities, and cancer conferences
• Maintain ongoing communications with the State Health registry of Iowa to ensure compliance with SEER standards

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Completion of a 2-year college program in Cancer Registry Management (CRIM) or Cancer Information Management (CIM) from an NCRA accredited program
• Special training in word processing (minimum 60 wpm) and spreadsheet applications
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• CTR Certification required within 24 months of hire
• No prior experience required
