Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder to support the inpatient and outpatient medical coding of various medical claims and records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately assign medical codes including E&M codes, ICD-CM diagnoses, CPT, and HCPCS based on medical record documentation
  • Review documentation to identify and resolve inconsistencies that may affect coding accuracy and patient care quality
  • Educate providers and clinical staff on documentation issues to ensure coding compliance and accuracy
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid medical coding certification (e.g., CPC, RHIT, RHIA, CCS-P)
  • 3-5+ years of medical coding experience in a remote environment
  • Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding systems
  • Successful completion of a federal background check as part of the onboarding process
