Abstract, code, and interpret clinical information from various medical records
Assign correct diagnoses and procedure codes while ensuring accurate sequencing
Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and track productivity in specified systems
Required Qualifications
Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program
Minimum of two to four years of current production coding experience in acute care and profee
Certifications such as CPC, COC, CIC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and/or CCS-P are required
Experience in coding general and trauma surgeries, with at least two specialties preferred
Familiarity with Cerner, Revcycle, and Optum Encoder Pro is preferred but training is available
