California Licensed Fund Accounting Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Fund Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations related to investment funds.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the accounting staff and review accounting policies and procedures
• Maintain and develop effective internal controls and ensure timely financial reporting
• Collaborate with external auditors and mentor accounting staff

Required Qualifications

• CPA or Chartered Accountant is strongly preferred
• 7-10 years of relevant experience is preferred
• Experience with GAAP financial reporting, particularly for investment companies
• Proficiency in general ledger accounting systems, such as Sage Intacct
• Experience in financial statement audits and liaising with external auditors
